If someone has to says to you that I'm not one to complain, they;re lying. Complaining is what they do.
If someone has to says they're a big tipper, thet're lying. Tipping is what they don't do.
If someone has to says they're not going to be late, they're lying. They're never on time.
If someone has to says they can keep a secret, they're lying. They're a gossip.
If someone has to say they're not one to bitch, they're lying. They're a big bitch.
If someone has to say that they're not picky, they're lying, they hate everything.
If someone has to say that they would never hurt you, watch out for that dagger in the heart.
If someone has to say you can trust me, watch out for that dagger in the back.
I guess my point is, if you have to say it, who are you trying to convince. Honesty is a characteristic that is becoming extinct. I remember when a hand shake between two people meant something. A time that we didn't have to lock our doors. A time when you could loan someone money and it was their mission to pay it back. A time when condoms were a type of birth control, not because you cant trust your sex partner about STD's. No wonder its so hard to relax. Working with the public day after day has turned me into a cynic. I can't stand what its doing to me and how I look at people.
That's why family and close friends are so important. They give perspective and solitude in life. They help to protect you from the harm of awful people. They bring back the sanity and allow you to relax.
Take a moment in your day, find your life supporters and hug them. Don't ever underestimate the power of a hug.
If someone says that THEY'RE and english wizard, they are not.
ReplyDeleteIf someone says that they do a grammar check, the didn't.
It is THEY'RE not THEIR.
Just kidding Ben. I really enjoy your writings. I check often for new ones.
Look at me talking shit, and put AND instead of AN and THE instead of THEY in line number two.
ReplyDeleteOK I will quietly shut my pie hole.
