Day in a life of a young man

Durable and resilient are the reasons why you won't see many older people doing the clubbing or late night thing. Only the young can bounce back from a night of drinking , gambling and God only knows what else. But those two traits don't last long pups, so get it out of your system quick!
Back in Charleston S.C. when I had The Third Floor Club, I liked to bar hop to see who was out and who wasn't hanging out in my bar then air guilt trips.  Does anyone know how many bars and restaurants are in Charleston? I don't even know! But I would try to visit them all, have a drink, throw money at the bartender and go to the next. After losing count, I left the last bar to head back to the Third Floor. I was hammered and happy. Charleston has an awesome night life, people every where bustling about and traffic hurried the streets. I was walking along and darted between two parked cars to cross the street. Without a chance to hit the breaks a car hit me full on hurling me a good twenty feet. I landed on my side in the oil stained street and skid another six feet. Tattered, I jumped up, looked back at the car that had struck me to see his spider webbed windshield and me holding the car's antenna in my hand. The driver got out of his car and yelled "hey". I did what any dumb drunk would have done, I dropped the antenna and ran! It seemed as though I had run ten miles when in reality it was only five blocks. I made it back to my safe house, The Third Floor. I climbed the thousand steps and enter the bar where some friends were hanging out. They stopped talking the second they saw me and said "what the hell happened to you?" I looked over at the bar mirror and saw my ragged reflection. Just as I was about to lie, a guy came in, saw me and said " man are you ok, that car launched you!" Now that the cat was out of the bag, everyone had a big laugh at my expence. After hanging out another couple hours, scraped and bruised on my entire body, I headed home. Just beating the sunrise I made it to bed. I woke the next afternoon and was a little stiff getting out of bed. I had total recall, I smiled and gave a little out loud "ha", shook off the stiffness and got ready for the day.
